Message Settings: Sounds

Requires Ahoy v1.1.0+

Adding sounds to a message can be a great way to ensure you get your users attention by using both an audible alert, as well as visual movement on the screen.

To enable sounds on a message, simply edit your message and go to the General -> Sounds tab and enter a url to a valid audio file.

Note: Sounds won't play if user has not interacted with the page on chrome, messages will function normally without sound in this case.

Pro Tip: If you need some sound files we recommend sites like https://freesound.org which provides royalty free sounds which you can download (once you sign up for a free account).

Here are a few of our favorites, or feel free to search their site or similar sites for just the right sound for your users.

Just imagine users attempting to leave your checkout page and hearing the last one, I can assure you that you got their attention ! ;p
