Message Settings: Call to Actions

Ahoy has several different types of call to actions:

  • No call to action - When this option is selected no button will appear in the message
  • Link - When this option is selected a plain text link will appear below the message text
  • Button - When this option is selected a button will appear below the message text
  • Custom Content - When this option is selected a button will appear below the message text and when a user clicks on the button it will show the custom content you have entered when creating the message.
  • Ninja Forms - When this option is selected a button will appear below the message text and when a user clicks on the button it will open your desired Ninja Form within the message. Users can then fill in and submit the form directly from within the Ahoy message.
  • Gravity Forms - When this option is selected a button will appear below the message text and when a user clicks on the button it will open your desired Gravity Form within the message. Users can then fill in and submit the form directly from within the Ahoy message.
  • Contact Form 7 - When this option is selected a button will appear below the message text and when a user clicks on the button it will open your desired Contact 7 Form within the message. Users can then fill in and submit the form directly from within the Ahoy message.

Additional Settings

Whilst the no call to action has no additional settings, the other call to actions have the following settings

Link
  • Enter text for your call to action - This field allows you to add the text that appears in the link. The default text is "Learn more".
  • Enter a link for your call to action - This field allows you to add the URL that the user is taken to when they click the link.
  • Open in a new tab - If you want the user to stay on the same page and to open a new tab when the link is clicked select this option.
Button
  • Enter text for your call to action - This field allows you to add the text that appears in the button. The default text is "Learn more".
  • Enter a link for your call to action - This field allows you to add the URL that the user is taken to when they click the button.
  • Open in a new tab - If you want the user to stay on the same page and to open a new tab when the link is clicked select this option.
Custom Content
  • Enter text for your call to action - This field allows you to add the text that appears in the button. The default text is "Learn more".
  • Custom content to display when user clicks your CTA - This  text area field allows you to add your own custom content that you want to appear after the CTA is clicked.
Ninja Forms
  • Enter text for your call to action - This field allows you to add the text that appears in the button. The default text is "Learn more".
  • Seconds before message will auto close - This message allows you to choose how many seconds after a form is submitted for the message to auto close. Default is 0 seconds. 
  • Which form do you want to use? - This field allows you to select which of your forms will appear in the message
Gravity Forms
